$450,000 – $600,000: In this price range, you can find a good starter home in Collier Hills. It will typically be a 1940s cottage, usually with 2-3 bedrooms and usually 2 bathrooms. These homes normally have hardwood floors and a fireplace. Most of these homes will have some level of renovation. There are also some 1950s-60s ranches (both traditional and contemporary). A good number of homes have covered parking; usually a detached 1 or 2 car garage or carport, but about half have driveway parking. The lot sizes and topography vary but are usually quite generous. Collier Hills features the wonderful Tanyard Creek Park and also borders Bobby Jones Golf Course. The Ardmore Park neighborhood is closer to Peachtree Road, with all that it has to offer, and this neighborhood also borders Tanyard Creek Park.
$600,000 – $800,000: In this price range, you’ll find renovated homes with additions that feature 2-4 bedrooms and usually 2 full bathrooms. Most of the homes in this range were built between 1930 and 1955. They are generally larger cottages, Cape Cods, ranches, bungalows and a few 2-story traditionals. A good number of homes have covered parking; usually a detached 1 or 2 car garage or carport, but about half have driveway parking. The lot sizes and topography vary but are usually quite generous.
$800,000 – $1,400,000+ : At the lower end of this price range one will find late 1930s to 1940s renovated 2-story traditional style homes plus large 1-story homes with an upstairs addition. Covered parking at these older properties varies. At the higher end of this price range we start to see new and recent construction –– generally traditional in style but with more open floor plans. Most of the newer homes have covered parking.
