$500,000 – $700,000: At the lower end of this price range, one can find a decent starter home in Springlake. It will typically be a 1930s-1940s bungalow or cottage with a few 1950s ranches (usually with 2-4 bedrooms and 1-2 bathrooms). These homes normally have hardwood floors and the majority have a fireplace. As the price increases so does the level of renovation.
At the higher end of this price range, the homes are larger and renovated with 3-4 bedrooms and a minimum of 2 full bathrooms. A good number of homes have covered parking; usually a detached 1 or 2 car garage or carport, but about half have driveway parking. The lot sizes and topography vary.
$700,000 – $850,000: At the lower end of this range one may find a larger renovated cottage or bungalow with 3-4 bedrooms and 2-3 bathrooms. At the upper end the homes will offer more space and a few two-story homes but generally the same number of bedrooms and bathrooms and usually will have a higher level of finish. Most of the homes in this range have covered parking and very often it will be a 2-car garage.
$850,000 – $1,500,000+: In this range, especially towards the higher end the majority of homes are new construction –– traditional in style but with all the bells and whistles including wonderful kitchens and bathrooms, high ceilings, hardwood floors and detailed moldings. Nearly all have a 2-car garage. The lots may be smaller than the older homes, especially in cluster home communities.
